Creative Arts entrepreneurship at MIT is not limited to virtual reality. Creative Arts includes all creative industries, including Design, Fashion, Film/Video, Gaming, Music, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts.
The annual Creative Arts 15K Competition is taking place this Spring! Enter your arts-focused startup for a chance to win $15,000 to help launch your venture. Deadline for applications is March 6, 2016.
The qualification for entry is that you have arts at the core of your company, whether its virtual reality, gaming, design, music, or visual arts.
Arts entrepreneurs are eligible to join the Arts at MIT's incubator, the /START STUDIO.
The /START STUDIO is an ideation and prototyping lab supporting the formation and growth of arts focused business, arts entrepreneurship, arts-tech initiatives, and the exploration of new arts fields.
Space is limited, applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Check the website to see if applications are live.
Hacking Arts is MIT's flagship event in the Creative Arts and takes place every fall.
Hacking Arts is part conference, part tech expo, and part hackathon. The festival has 8 creative industry focuses: Design, Fashion, Film/Video, Gaming, Music, Performing Arts, Virtual Reality and Visual Arts.
